Reset & Reboot Retreat on Shodoshima
A 1-Night / 2-Day Winter Reset to Start 2026 with Clarity
Dates: Jan 17 (Sat) – Jan 18 (Sun), 2026
Location: Shodoshima Island, Kagawa
Style: Small Group (Max 6) / English Friendly
Step away from the noise. Return to your rhythm.
Crisp winter air. Deepening breath. A traditional Japanese farmhouse on Shodoshima—wrapped in wood and earthen walls. Heat from the sauna, a cool breeze outside, and long stretches of silence that soften the mind.
This retreat is not about “doing more” or forcing a transformation. It is a grounded, practical reset for your nervous system to begin 2026 with a clear head and a lighter body.
Is this for you?
This program is designed for working professionals and travelers (approx. 30s–50s) who feel:
- Overstimulated: You’ve been “on” for too long and can’t fully switch off.
- Mentally Cluttered: You feel constantly online or distracted.
- Out of Rhythm: Your sleep, breathing, or digestion feels off.
- Seeking Quiet: You want a simple, warm, and restorative start to the year.
No previous experience with meditation or sauna is required. Just bring yourself.
What You Will Experience
1. Nervous System Reset (Not just “Relaxing”)
Through simple Zazen (seated meditation) and deep breathing, we gently support your autonomic nervous system to switch from “fight or flight” to “rest and digest.”
2. Sauna & Winter Air
The contrast of the sauna’s heat and the crisp island air helps release physical tension and clears mental fog. It’s a simple way to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
3. “Kasaneni” Cooking & Shared Meal
We will cook and eat together using naturally grown vegetables from Totofarm (Tokushima). You’ll experience “Kasaneni” (a traditional layered simmering technique)—a simple, deeply nourishing way to prepare food that is gentle on the body.
4. Digital Detox Environment
While not strictly prohibited, we encourage you to disconnect from screens. Use this time for journaling, reading, or simply staring at the fire.
